Integrations

Overview

The Integrations tab in Settings allows you to connect Filmbase with external services to enhance your film photography workflow and community experience.

Accessing Integrations Settings

1. Click the Settings icon in the left sidebar
2. Select the Integrations tab from the top navigation

Available Integrations

Filmbase currently offers integrations with two key services:

Glass

Glass is a photography-focused social platform designed specifically for photographers.

Benefits of Glass Integration

• Direct Posting: Post processed scans directly from EXIF Editor to your Glass profile
• Metadata Preservation: All film metadata is maintained when sharing to Glass
• Community Connection: Engage with a community of film photographers
• Portfolio Building: Showcase your film work in a curated environment

Connecting Your Glass Account

1. In the Glass integration section, click Connect Glass Account
2. If already connected, you'll see "Connected as @username"
3. To reconnect or switch accounts, click Reconnect Glass Account

Using Glass Integration

Once connected:

1. Process your film scans in EXIF Editor
2. Look for the Glass posting option after processing
3. Add a caption and select your Glass categories
4. Post directly to your Glass profile

Discord

Discord integration connects you with the Filmbase community for discussion, support, and sharing.

Benefits of Discord Integration

• Community Access: Join the official Filmbase Discord server
• Exclusive Channels: Access to special channels for PRO members
• Direct Support: Get help from Filmbase staff and experienced users
• Feature Discussions: Participate in discussions about upcoming features
• Film Photography Talk: Connect with other like-minded film photographers

Connecting Your Discord Account

1. In the Discord integration section, click Connect Discord Account
2. If already connected, you'll see "Connected as username#0"
3. To reconnect or switch accounts, click Reconnect Discord Account

Using Discord Integration

After connecting:

1. You'll automatically join the Filmbase Discord server
2. Your role in the server will reflect your Filmbase membership tier
3. Access channels based on your permissions

Best Practices for Integrations

• Keep Connections Updated: Reconnect accounts if you change usernames or credentials
• Leverage Community: Use Discord for questions and inspiration
• Share Selectively: Choose your best work to share on Glass
• Stay Engaged: Participate in discussions to get the most value from integrations

Troubleshooting

• Connection Issues: If unable to connect, ensure you're logged into that service in another browser tab
• Missing Permissions: Check that you've granted all necessary permissions during connection
• Posting Problems: Verify your account status with the external service
• Reconnection Needed: If features aren't working, try reconnecting your account
• Browser Issues: Try using a different browser if persistent problems occur
• Contact Support: If you continue to experience issues, please contact support
